Governor Newsom to “fix” Oakland?

California Governor Gavin Newsom recently announced a 10-point plan that aims to clean and “fix” the streets of Oakland.

However, many community members feel that the plan focuses too heavily on surface repairs as opposed to addressing the root of many of the city’s issues.

YR’s video reporter Nancy Nguyen explores the potential impact of the governor’s plan, as well as talks to some community members to break down the different ways that the plan could be better informed.
