"The candidates decisions are going to affect us."
Leading up the the 2010 City Council elections in Fresno, young people organized a forum where they could ask the questions and find out which city council candidates were most in synch with young people's needs and issues. Read the nitty gritty on who attended the forum and how the candidates responded to questions. Youth Outlook reporters came down from San Francisco and made sure the event was covered.[vimeo=http://vimeo.com/12258382&w=320&h=240]Candidates drew a blank when asked how they'd make the city's bus system more accessible to young people. Transportation emerged as a key quality of life issue for young people who want to stay safe and take advantage of jobs and other programs outside their neighborhoods. Young people with The Know Youth Media have followed up by writing a series of stories about getting around Fresno.
