Youth poll on education: optimistic, but stymied

Last week New America Media released the findings of a cell phone poll of California youth ages 16-22. YO! reporter Eming Piansay highlights that, "40 percent of young people surveyed felt that the recession had negatively affected their ability to successfully attain a higher education, forcing them to take more time to complete their degree, spend more time working, and ultimately put their academic dreams on hold."

The poll received coverage in the San Francisco Chronicle, World Journal (Chinese), Sing Tao (Chinese), Yonhap (Korean), Latino Times, Current TV, My Direct Democracy and a growing list of other media.
