Playing in the park makes your neighborhood safer for everyone

Miguel Bibanco, a writer for The Know, didn't really think parks were anything but a place to play, until he was mugged while walking home. Some guys who had been playing basketball nearby in the park saw what was happening and chased off the muggers."It makes me realize that having parks where people can hang out is one way to help make the neighborhood safer. I am thankful to them and to the basketball courts near my home.
