Apples to Apples: Discover farmers markets in Sacramento

Frankie Jones, a student at Met Sacramento and participant in CMC's Youth Empowerment Studio, produced this video about the difference between fruit found at the local farmers market and that shipped thousands of miles and sold at big grocery chains. Watch "Fresh Off The Vine.""Fresh off the Vine" was featured at the second annual Youth Media Forum for Social Change at the Sacramento Bee on May 7, 2011 and rebroadcast by News10.net. In the post-film panel, Frankie encouraged audience members to explore the farmers market for themselves, “When you shop at the farmers market, you’re helping someone else (the farmer) and it’s good for you.”[gigya src="http://www.archive.org/details/FreshOffTheVine" width="640" height="560" quality="high" ]
