Born again: A mural is created, and recreated, in Richmond

When the city put a stop to a mural project in Richmond that had the support of the parks department, a school teacher and even the owner of the building whose wall was painted, young people fought back. They insisted the mural was a piece of art, not subject to city codes against graffiti. The result of their advocacy? A new city ordinance and a budget to recreate their mural. Richmond Pulse's Tania Pulido tells the story.[vimeo=http://vimeo.com/23601685 &w=320&h=240]
