'Counselors not cops, teachers not tickets'

While daytime curfew laws are still in effect in Los Angeles, parents and students have successfully advocated for key changes in the way the law is enforced."After LAPD’s policy change last April, school officials began to rely more on detention – rather than police – to enforce the anti-truancy daytime curfew.
