Artist movement seeks to preserve and create storied murals

Los Angeles was once called “mural capital of the world,” but everything changed in 2002, when lawsuits brought by advertising companies caused the city to ban murals on private properties.Last year, a group of artists and art lovers gathered and talked about what the city’s removal of murals from private property.
