Fight against pollution-heavy projects at the Long Beach port goes on
Long Beach community members are continuing the fight against a controversial $500 million dollar container loading yard proposed for the harbor area just west of Long Beach. Concerned residents say the Southern California International Gateway (SCIG) should be moved to the port instead. The SCIG will use fossil-fuel engines, and stands adjacent to a community already heavily affected by diesel pollution. Read about the issues on Voicewaves.
