Oakland's Plan To Keep African American Students In School
Almost 20 percent of Oakland Unified School District's African American males were suspended during the last school year. This fact was the subject of a Civil Rights investigation resulting in a plan to reduce African American suspensions with Restorative Justice, a method that brings up alternatives to suspension or expulsion.
