Unique subgroups within homeless youth population

African American youth are more likely to report being removed from their home by child welfare services and being put into foster care, while white homeless youth are more likely to have removed themselves from home. This was one finding in a research report released this month by the California Homeless Youth Project, showing that subgroups among homeless youth vary in their backstories - and have different needs.  The full story is on Youth Radio.
