How everyone got the youth vote wrong
Contrary to poll and media predictions, it turns out that young people, whether "enthusiastic" or not, voted in the last election at their 2008 levels. At UC Berkeley, most of those interviewed supported President Obama, but not enthusiastically. One student hypothesized that, "[Y]oung voters maybe were disappointed in the way he handled things or the way things turned out in the end, whether it was Obama’s fault or not,” but voted despite a lack of passion. The broadcast story is on Youth Radio.
