Kids in the Boyle Heights Community Youth Orchestra ring in the holidays

The Boyle Heights Community Youth Orchestra, composed of  6- to 13-year-old musicians, opened a door for neighborhood kids this summer (the program and lessons are free of charge). Now, after practicing every Thursday and Friday afternoon at Hollenbeck Middle School, they are looking for a permanent space in the Boyle Heights community.  A write-up of their first holiday performance is on Boyle Heights Beat.violin-girl-300x199
