Fear of deportation takes a toll on Long Beach immigrants

Nearly a quarter of persons deported from the United States over the last two years have been parents of citizen children, according to information released by the federal government. There are more than 5,000 children in foster care due to the deportation of parents.  A recent piece of legislation, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), deferred deportation for over 100,000 youth, but in Long Beach, one of the most diverse cities in the nation, adult immigrants live in fear of deportation.
