Unaware of controversy, Boyle Heights residents buy 'Herbalife'

The FDA prevents the makers of powdered herbal supplements from claiming any medical benefit, but Herbalife products sell by word of mouth.  Resident distributors sell Herbalife products to a majority Latino consumer base, touting them for weight loss and energy.  Herbalife calls itself a multi-level marketer.
