A conference to send more Coachella kids to college

A recent report estimated that only 53 percent of Coachella high school graduates pursue higher education. Raices Cultura, a youth organization based in Coachella, wants to improve these numbers by initiating an education conference called “El Poder de Saber” (The Power of Knowing).  The conference is channeling concerns that not enough Coachella kids are going to college, a problem discussed in more detail on Coachella Unincorporated.CVHS-480x310
