Youth and Government Program takes L.A. students to Sacramento

High school students from East L.A. and Boyle Heights went to the State Capitol as part of the Youth and Government program at the Weingart East Los Angeles YMCA.  They debated in the legislative chambers, discussed bills written by students, and learned about the characteristics necessary to be an effective political actor.  One student shares the experience of "model government" on Boyle Heights Beat.
