Students want to know that 'Every Student Matters' in Long Beach schools
Hundreds of students and parents showed up in support for the launch of the “Every Student Matters” (ESM) campaign this past weekend at Cesar Chavez Park in Long Beach. It began with the collection of over 1,700 surveys from Long Beach school students around "school climate." The results of the survey was meant to help youth identify key goals, and to move toward some partnership with Long Beach Unified School District. But the real information comes straight from the mouths of young people, who spoke about restorative justice, as well as the counter-productiveness of trivial suspensions, on Voicewaves.[youtube=http://youtu.be/eqnlh_AMnVo]
