Hyatt hotel workers unionize in Long Beach

Measure N, passed last year, required Long beach hotels to pay employees a living wage of at least $13 an hour, or $2000 a month. But the battle wasn’t over. Advocates and workers have continued to organize co-workers on the measure, the enforcement of which has been controversial. Now, Hyatt Long Beach hotels  UNITE Here Local 11 (a union representing over 20,000 service sector workers) are saying they will reach an agreement about wages through collective bargaining.  Hear the story on Voicewaves.[youtube=http://youtu.be/zYooBXMdB1A]
