Cambodian New Year celebrated through art and struggle

Long beach currently has the largest concentration of Cambodians outside of Cambodia.  Over a million refugees, fleeing from a brutal war in the 1970s, settled in the United States, and many of them gathered here.  As Cambodian New Year celebrations take place all over the city this week, one event sought out different goals for the occasion.   Local Cambodian artists gathered to remember the past and highlight issues in the immigrant community, in an event called Generation Return: Art + Justice Post-Genocide and Post-9/11.  Learn more on Voicewaves.[youtube=http://youtu.be/Nk78W_ogbzg]
