Teachers help students in ways online learning can't

A student who felt a strong connection between her college teachers and learning was surprised to fin that her junior year at the University of Hawaii would be conducted online.  Without the engagement of live teaching support -- asking questions in class and having a regular learning schedule -- she lost her enthusiasm for school.  Her commentary laments the loss of the teacher-student relationships that form in the classroom, and urges educators to support the professor over the computer, on Richmond Pulse.online
