Laws to look out for: how proposed bills affect Long Beach

Four pieces of state legislation are on the table and, if passed, would revamp the education system.  Long Beach Unified Schools and other districts would see increased funding, suspension reform, and more school counselors.  Community leaders are drumming up support for the bills, but ultimately state legislators will decide.
