Recognizing Filipino workers: past, present, and future
The working class Filipino community in Long Beach is a force in organized labor. They’re the largest Asian group in California, but are rarely discussed as a population in political or media discussions. Last year, they contributed to getting a living wage for hotel workers and domestic caregivers with Measure N.
