In Central Valley, college students spend summer vacation in the fields

Young college students eager to make some cash during their summer break found work in the grape fields.  The physically demanding job turned out to be a gratifying experience for many of them.  While some said the quick money (due to long hours six days a week) was their primary motivation, others say the experience brings them closer to their family roots. “Recently, I learned that my whole family worked in the fields.
