Merced LGBT Forum: youth responses

Merced’s first LGBT Health Forum happened this past month.  After collaborating to make the event happen, We’Ced Youth put their thoughts and feelings on paper to share with the community.  One panelist spoke about starting a GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) at his high school, others shared personal stories, and the director of the Merced Department of Public Health spoke about creating a healthy environment for LGBT youth.  "I see how everyone is intertwined through the LGBT community and it makes me feel better to be who I am knowing that people want to be supportive and help you. I hold my head held higher and my girlfriend’s hand a little tighter." Read all of the reactions from participating youth, on We'Ced.lgbt-forum
