Students compete to build best energy-saving house

A competition called the Solar Decathlon, sponsored by the Department of Energy, challenged groups of design and engineering students to build houses that can generate as much energy as they use.  It sounded boring at first to Youth Radio reporter Darelle Brown.  But the technical process proved more interesting as results emerged.  Read the story on Youth Radio.
