Merced parents add voice to school funding debate
The Fair School Funding Law, or Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), says that California school districts with high percentages of low-income and English-learning can expect to receive an $18 billion increase in education spending over the next eight years. If parents and locals want a say in the decisions, they better mobilize; only those concerns raised before the year closes can be considered.
