Teens use theater to teach Sex Ed to peers

Long Beach Unified School District has cancelled health education classes, prompting students at Wilson High to take it upon themselves to inform incoming students about sex and its hazards.  With the help of their drama teacher, students made "Carriers," featuring characters who've contracted sexually-transmitted infections. "Sometimes teachers added a few comments to help, but it was the responsibility of the actors to educate their fellow students... Because the discussion was student-led, our classmates felt less embarrassed asking questions." See more about this peer-to-peer theater education event on Voicewaves.[youtube=http://youtu.be/3zgMnyW-tqA]
