Community weighs in on school funding law

The Kern High School District is the largest high school district in California. With a "high-needs" student population -- over 80 percent on free or reduced-price school lunches -- the district is considered  is in store to receive significant new funding.  South Kern Sol asked local parents, teachers and students: “How would you like to see this new funding used in our schools?” Responses varied widely, signaling contentious debate when funding decisions are made. Read more on South Kern Sol.
