Disqualified, but still dreaming

When Luis Ambrosio heard about Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, a program under the Obama administration which defers deportation for children brought into the country illegally, he hoped he'd be granted a period of citizenship and the opportunity to pursue the kind of job he wants.  He'd arrived in the U.S. two months too late, but is still working to find a way to stay live his dreams. “I have learned that education is the most important thing; I still work in the fields sometimes, but that is why I’m going to go to college, to get a better job and wait until I can qualify for [legal documentation].” Read the full story on South Kern Sol.
