Should the Board of Trustees racially reflect the student body?

A seat in the Kern Community College District Board of Trustees is opening up for election, and some attention is being given to the racial makeup of the current board. Latinos are the dominant racial group among students, but only one board member is Latino - a student representative who doesn't get to vote on policies. Bakersfield College students gave their opinions on the issue to South Kern Sol.
