Drought brings call for water conservation
The whole state of California is in a severe water crisis - the first in 15 years - prompting Governor Jerry Brown to ask residents to change the way they use water. Some measures are in the works to promote conservation, like imposing fines for non-adherence to designated watering times and educating the public about how to save water in their homes.
