Some residents support fines to prevent graffiti

Interviews with adults and youth showed support for the city’s resolution to fine parents of minors accused of vandalizing public and private property. But to some, the fines seem disproportionate to the crime. “I think it’s a good idea because the parents have to take responsibility for their kids, but it’s a little extreme.
