Meet Dr. Ontiveros, a mentor for doctors-to-be

Dr. Ontiveros recalls how meeting a Latino doctor inspired him to explore medicine as a career option. He helped found Mi Mentor, an organization that gives support to students from the Central Valley who want to become doctors.  "One of the things that helped me when I was going through medical school was talking to people who had gone through the same process that I was going through. Now that I am a doctor I want to be there to motivate students."  An interview with Dr. Ontiveros is on South Kern Sol.drontiveros-258x300
