Youth reflect on police relations forum

Young people gathered in South Merced to participate in a conversation on the relationship between law enforcement and youth. Organized by community organizations, the event featured Merced NAACP President and current Sheriff Darryl Davis as a speaker. Youth reporters spoke with attendees to hear their experiences with law enforcement in Merced, and any insights they gained from the dialogue. "I think seeing the news on how police treat others in our country and in our city prevents people from feeling like they can trust police. I think youth could show more respect to police, that would improve how police treat youth as well." Visit the Facebook page to see pictures from the forum, and catch the interviews on We'Ced.cathy
