A path to college in City Heights

Reality Changers is a program for youth from the inner city to work their way into a good college. Inspiration comes in the form of college graduates who tell their young counterparts to aim high, and who can relate to the life situations of under-resourced kids who might not have the support they need at home to navigate the higher education system. "I didn't have someone to look up to, and someone [living] in my neighborhood didn't have a higher education... Reality Changers played a big role because we have people who've been to college come into Reality Changers and help us... [T]hey told us ways they got into college, and the path  they followed rather than the path we were before going to follow." The video on Reality Changers was produced by Media Arts Center San Diego.[youtube=http://youtu.be/6zthU31SIbU]
