Creating my own educational path

During his junior year at Berkeley High, Desmond Meagley came to the realization that he wanted to be in control of his own education, and dropped out of school. "Everywhere I looked, I saw people falling into exhausting routines, full of extracurriculars, extra credit and extra tutoring; to look good for an expensive college, to get a scholarship... I’d sit in bed until late at night thinking, "How am I going to get through the next morning when today was hell?'" Desmond speaks about choosing his own educational path, on Youth Radio.
