The homeless, our abandoned family

Formerly a homeless youth herself, Alexandria Rice wanted to report on homelessness in San Diego County. She remarks on society's desensitization to "an entire population of people left aside and abandoned," and the constant threat of being accosted by police and arrested. "I know what it's like to just want to sit somewhere, just be able to gather my thoughts... And here comes a police officer threatening to arrest me because I'm not supposed to be where I am, and I have to leave." The video, narrated with Alexandria's perspective, is for Media Arts Center San Diego.[youtube=https://youtu.be/W1jxxTXiIrM]
