Supervisors vote to end deportation program in L.A. County

This week L.A. County's Board of Supervisors ended a program that placed Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents inside jails to screen inmates for deportation, but replaced it with a policy that still supports collusion between jail officials and ICE. Opponents argue that the agencies' collaboration leads to the deportation of low-level offenders like people picked up for driving without a license.
