What I learned from Ben Franklin

One of Benjamin Franklin's lesser-known contributions was his autobiography, a personal memoir that reveals the character of the admired inventor and statesman. Oakland high school student Anton Zyngier found the book enlightening; it provoked an unexpected change in the direction of his life.  "Franklin identified specific character traits he wanted to change... and this helped him be more aware of his actions. I started my own list. I identified long and short-term goals that I wanted to accomplish, and methods for achieving them. I learned if there is something that I don't like, it's up to me to change it." His commentary is on Youth Radio.
