Graduating from UC against the odds

For Luis Flores, keeping up with a job alongside coursework at UC Berkeley was overwhelming, but his resourcefulness in finding the right support for low-income and first-generation students earned him a college degree. "Part of what kept me motivated to finish school was knowing that as a Latino student who was succeeding I was proving the numbers and the institution wrong." His commentary is on Youth Radio.
