Memoirs of invisible black women

There’s a growing national awareness about racial injustice in American, with the attention centering on black men. These young African-American women talk about the issues that evade the public discussion, leaving them feeling like misunderstood in school and disregarded in society. "It always felt like I had to prove myself twice as much as other people in the room because I was black and I was a woman... I didn't want that burden of being alive. I just wanted to go and learn and have fun."
