Masks and identity: the 2015 Sons and Brothers Camp
Youth discuss the calming effects of nature during the 2015 Sons and Brothers Camp at Grizzle Creek Camp; the environment cultivated reflection and helped them self-reflect explore their true identities as young men of color. "[We were asked] to just sit, and acknowledge that one of the things we might be hearing for the first time is silence. We gain a different familiarity with each other and our own selves. So having to be with our own thoughts: Who are we now that we're away from a community that often defines us."
