New law aims at gender gap in the workplace
Women make up 57 percent of the American workforce, but they don't make 57 percent of the income— women earn 77 cents to every dollar earned by their male colleagues. Women have made progress in some industries, but others are embarrassingly slow to catch on. "When women start at a disadvantage, they stay at a disadvantage.
