USC students draw plans for a farm stand for surplus produce
A plan for a mobile farm stand that brings surplus produce from a community garden to residents of the Ramona Gardens public housing development is in the works, with the help of some local college students. The Spanish language students, part of a class titled, "Food, Health and the Environment in Latino Los Angeles, Mexico and Beyond," presented a business plan, marketing ideas and design sketches for the program.
