By the time he reached his teenage years, Ezekiel Benavides started to have questions about faith. To fight the depression that came about questioning God's benevolence, he wrote stories, got into art and engineering, and sought professional help. "I wasn’t cured. Mental illness cannot be cured. Rather, I was equipped with an array of tools at my disposal that I could use to keep the creeping, inky darkness that is depression at bay." He wrote his story for The Know.
