Del Norte youth #GetLOUD for local candidate forum

Young people not yet voting age are taking an active role in politics in Del Norte County. Youth members of the local True North Organizing project, the Redwood Voice, Opportunity Youth Initiative, and College of the Redwoods asked candidates for local offices to address topics like youth homelessness to bullying and a forum held Oct. 20. “We as youth have a responsibility to not only represent the issues we care about, but also have the responsibility to represent ourselves in this new age.” Read the story at the Redwood Voice.
