Oak Park Area Youth Respond to Childish Gambino’s, This Is America

Since Childish Gambino released the music video for his song “This is America,” the video has recorded hundreds of millions of views. Oak Park teens all reacted differently to the controversial video, which was jam-packed with symbols of gun violence, police brutality, and black culture. “It made me think a lot about the black culture in American—like black violence and how people react to it and how a lot of the culture is used as a distraction from the violence.” Read more at Access Local TV.
