Fresno’s Responsible Neighborhood Market Ordinance Passes

The Fresno City Council held a special meeting to discuss and vote on the Responsible Neighborhood Market Ordinance which called for a cap on the number of alcohol retailer licenses the city gives out and restrictions on liquor stores being built near parks or schools. The ordinance was sponsored by councilmembers Miguel Arias, Nelson Esparza and Luis Chavez who worked collaboratively with youth in the community to push it forward. See more at The kNOw.
