‘Coming Together For One Cause’: Thousands March For Equality For Women, Safety For Local Families

The third annual Women’s March in Bakersfield, California drew over 4,000 men, women and children out to protest. “We will never have peace if we don’t have power,” said civil rights activist and co-founder of the United Farmworkers of America Dolores Huerta, who led the march in January. She, along with many other outspoken citizens, took to the streets to march for women’s equality and immigrant rights. Read more at South Kern Sol.
